Complex 21/22 was the launch site of the Mace and Matador launch operations at Cape Canaveral. The Mace was actually a newer version of the Matador missiles. Both were winged missiles with solid rocket -assist motors at launch. The Mace and Matador were superceded by the Pershing missile system.
