The Mobile Service Structure (MSS), more commonly known as a "gantry", was moved to and from the rocket stand on these tracks. In place over the rocket stand, the gantry allowed access to the launch vehicle and payload at all levels. The gantry was removed to a safe distance prior to launch of the rocket.
