NASA's Langley Research Center, located in Virginia, is home to subsonic, transonic, supersonic, and hypersonic wind tunnels. The Lunar Lander Training Gantry is also part of the history of LRC. Apollo astronauts used this spider like structure to practice landing a small version of the lunar excursion module, or LEM.
